From Shuhaib radhiyallahu anhu that the Prophet ﷺ said:
إِذَا دَخَلَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ الْجَنَةَ, said: يَقُولُ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: تُرِيدُونَ شَيْئً اَزِيدُكُمْ? فَيَقُولُونَ: أَلَمْ تُبَيِّضْ وُجُوهَنَا? أَلَمْ تُدْخِلْنَا الْجَنَّةَ, وَتُنَجِّنَا مِنَ النَّارِ? He said: Then the veils will be revealed, and they will not be given anything more beloved to them than seeing their Lord, the Exalted and the Majestic.
The meaning is: “When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, Allah, the Most High, will say: ‘Shall I give you something more?” They will say: “Have You not made our faces white? Have You not admitted us to Paradise and saved us from the Fire of Hell?” So Allah will remove the veils, and they will not be given anything more beloved to them than seeing the face of their Lord, the Most High, the Most Great.” [Narrated by Muslim, 181]
Lecture
When the people of Paradise see and experience all the pleasures in Paradise, they will understand and think that there is no greater pleasure than that. So at that moment, Allah fulfilled His promise to them, which was to remove the veil from their sight, and His veil was light until they saw the beauty of the face of Allah. They were not given anything better and more beloved than seeing the face of Allah, the Most High and the Most Great.
Benefits and Lessons from the Hadith
- The veil is removed for the people of Paradise, they truly see Allah, while the disbelievers will be prevented from seeing Him.
- The greatest blessing in Paradise is seeing Allah.
- Every person in Paradise, even though they are in different positions, they can see Allah, the Most High and the Most Great.
- Allah’s grace to the believers by admitting them into Paradise.
- The importance of hastening to Paradise with righteous deeds and obedience to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.
That’s it.
Hopefully it can be benefited from.
